We do so many things each day without even thinking. Things that, if you DO think about it, require a huge amount of trust – You drink water, go over bridges, go when the light turns green.
We TRUST! We do it without even thinking and yet, when we actually need to trust, we make it a hard thing.
The key to trusting God is in this verse:
Prov 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Let’s break it down:
1. With your whole heart
2. Don’t lean on your own understanding. You can’t always figure it out. That’s where trusting comes into play.
3. Acknowledge that God is helping you and remind yourself of it.
4. Don’t be prideful or “wise in your own eyes.” Acknowledge that you need help!
Continue to remind yourself of these things! 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us. We need to rely on God and trust Him that we WILL get through this and come out on the other side!
